The 2025 Booker Prize longlist has been revealed: 13 novels representing nine nations and four continents.
This year’s selection is being hailed as one of the most diverse in recent memory, spanning from debut voices to internationally acclaimed figures. Themes of displacement, environmental futures, and shifting identities dominate the list, signalling a global literary moment. Judges described the longlist as “a tapestry of storytelling that speaks both to our current crises and to timeless human concerns.”
The shortlist will follow on 23 September, before the winner is crowned in London on 10 November.
